Jennie is well known for her honesty, reliability, high-energy, commitment to helping others, and persistence in making her clients’ dream vacations a reality. Her reputation as Idaho’s #1 Travel Agent, along with her infamous European travel photos (posted regularly on her social media pages), inspired us to reach out to her. Today, we asked her to describe to our readers her passion for European traveling. This was her quote:

“There’s something special about exploring Europe one week at a time, wandering through its quiet corners and lesser-known towns. In the summer of 2025, I spent ten days driving through Germany, uncovering the country’s charm beyond the usual tourist trail. From the storybook villages of Baumberg and Regensburg to the breathtaking mountain scenery of Berchtesgaden, every stop offered its own sense of tranquility.

In Berchtesgaden, I stayed in a cozy Alpine Inn surrounded by meadows and lakes, where hiking paths wind past grazing cows with bells around their necks that lead to welcoming mountain huts serving hearty, home-cooked meals. Germany, I found, offers all the natural beauty of Switzerland—majestic peaks, crystal lakes, and alpine charm—but without the crowds or high prices.

Another unforgettable destination from that summer was Sardinia, Italy. I stayed at a beautiful four-star beachfront resort in the island’s northern region, where the long running trails and private beach quickly became part of my daily rhythm. The sea shimmered in shades of blue and turquoise so clear they seemed almost unreal. The service was exceptional, and the guests—a wonderful mix of Italians, other Europeans, and North Americans—gave the place an easygoing, International feel. It was the perfect escape: peaceful, authentic, and free from the tourist throngs found elsewhere in Italy.

That sense of authenticity is what I seek, both in my own travels and for the clients I help plan journeys for. I’m always searching for places that still feel true to themselves—where local life, traditions, and landscapes remain untouched by mass tourism.

In 2026, my travels will continue through Europe’s hidden heartlands: the wine regions of Hungary, the inland beauty of Croatia, and the mountain valleys of Slovenia.

Discovering these hidden gems is, for me, the purest joy of travel. It’s where I feel most connected—to the world, to nature, and to myself. Europe’s quiet corners will always be my happy place.”
